Welcome to our 9th Grade Physical Science web page. Students will utilize this website daily!. All assignments, documents, and video resource will be posted for the students to access anytime they would like. This year we will be "flipping" the classroom. The key highlight of a flipped classroom is the students complete the background activities before entering the classroom so class time is better utilized investigating concepts, developing and practicing specific skills, and working along side their peers.  Flipped classrooms have shown to have major improvements in students scores, but more importantly, puts the student in charge of their own learning.

Students who are experiencing difficulty with the science concepts, math skills, and/or studying strategies are encouraged (daily) to use the additional resources provided (PowerPoint, YouTube videos, and Phet animations) and if needed, to stay after school and seek additional help. Often when students take ownership of their learning, with positive reinforcement, there is often a dramatic increase in a student's motivation, understanding, grades, and skill levels. This does not mean school will not be challenging, but the student then will better be able to handle the challenges presented, here and in life.

Missing class time often results in missed opportunities to get clarification of concepts, how they apply to past material, and strategies to remember this content.

After school help is available and needs to be prearranged in advance. I have also coaching responsibilities after school during the Fall and Spring.  Thank you for your understanding.

STUDENTS NEED TO HAVE CALCULATORS. Cell phones are not permitted in class, therefore the students needs to have an individual calculator.
